Known for her distinct voice and reggae-inspired guitar technique, Austin native Suzanna Choffel’s music has been described as "a unique sound equal parts Beat poetry, smoky soul grooves and indie-pop eccentricity." (Jim Derogatis). Having made appearances at ACL Music Fest, SXSW, Voodoo Fest, as well as on screen in movies like "Catfish" and NBC's The Voice (earning singular praise from Rolling Stone as "the only artist you'd want to listen to a complete album from"), Choffel feels equally at home singing in a dimly lit, smoky club as she does front and center in front of (literally) millions. She has opened for a diverse array of artists including Buena Vista Social Club, Suzanne Vega, Puss’n’Boots, Davíd Garza and many others.
Drawing comparisons from Aimee Mann to Zero 7 to Erykah Badu, it's clear that Choffel is not easy to pigeon-hole. Her third studio album Hello Goodbye was released in May 2017, recorded and produced by David Boyle at Churchhouse Studios in East Austin. The 11-track album drifts from dreamy folk to funky pop and soul and features Charlie Sexton on guitar (Bob Dylan), JJ Johnson on drums (Tedeshki Trucks Band, John Mayer) and Davíd Garza on vocals. The Austin Chronicle called it "the most concrete evidence yet of the singer's strength through versatility." Texas Music Magazine named it one of the top 10 best albums of the year.

Kelley Mickwee and her voice are one of the most recognizable talents making music in her home state of Texas at the moment -- even if you may not immediately know it. Mickwee has been a mainstay in the Texas-based music scene for years: currently, as part of Kevin Russell’s Shinyribs’ Shiny Soul Sisters, singing harmony and background vocals at his live shows and recordings; as one-fourth of the acclaimed Americana group The Trishas, with Jamie Lin Wilson, Savannah Welch and Liz Foster; and before then as one-half of a Memphis, TN-based duo Jed and Kelley. But sometimes what gets lost in the shuffle of all the well-deserved acclaim for what she adds to other artist’s projects is the music she makes in her own right.

Dan Dyer // Soul-folk singer-songwriter & multi-instrumentalist, raised in East TX on Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder & Merle Haggard. Dyer’s voice and live show intensity are raw and hot, yet soulful and sensitive, drawing from a wealth of classic soul, blues, folk, and R&B legends. His songs are dynamic, melodic, and intelligently seductive, and range from gospel-tinged ballads to classic strummed folk tales.

After a decade spent as lead singer of popular Austin Rock band Nelo, Reid Umstattd puts his newfound songwriting skills to work on his first full length LP 'Southern Spheres', crafting an album of windswept Americana, pop-tinged Soul, and Heartland Rock. The new record is also his first under the project name Reid Bros.
Produced by Brian Douglas Phillips (Rob Baird, David Ramirez), ‘Southern Spheres’ shines with 12 songs shaped by “ family, adventure, memories and mystery,”- four foundational themes embodied by Reid Bros., a name borrowed from the clothing store run by his grandparents, a nostalgia stocked highlight of childhood summers spent visiting his mom’s small hometown of Corinth, Mississippi.
“Reid Bros. is a perfect representation of what guides me as a songwriter,” he says. “And really, what is life without family, adventure, memories and mystery?”
