SONS OF MYSTRO
Born in South Florida to a Jamaican father and Barbadian mother, Malcolm, 23, and his 20-year old brother Umoja learned to play violin through South Florida’s public school system, and attended Dillard High School for the Performing Arts. Together, these brothers are Sons of Mystro. They use their violins to interpret reggae classics, American pop songs and their own creations accompanied by a DJ & a drummer. They are winners of the Emerging Artist under 21yrs Old award at IRAWMA (International Reggae and World Music Awards). Their debut recording, “Reggae Strings” is available now wherever music is streamed or sold Mentored by Black Violin, these artists’ stars are on the rise.

GRAMMY Award-nominated artist SaulPaul has garnered an international reputation as a Musician with a Message. Part rapper/part singer-songwriter, SaulPaul is an entertaining artist who blends his voice, his guitar, and his loop pedal to create a live show that is nothing less than an experience. SaulPaul shares his art with his heart and has been inspiring audiences through his music. From performing at three TEDx Talks, five Super Bowls, America’s Got Talent, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and Austin City Limits, this seasoned and well-traveled artist has performed nationally and internationally in theaters, concert venues and festivals across the country as well as esteemed industry events like Folk Alliance International, Midem and SXSW. Armed with two chart-topping #1 songs on Sirius XM along with an extensive catalog of music, his latest album, Okay to Be Different, along with his last album, Be the Change, are being played on radio stations across the country. He says “I believe that my voice, lessons learned from my journey and my input are more important than ever at this time. I had to release this music because timing is everything. My grandmother taught me that being kind makes a difference. And it is my belief that by being kind, you can Be The Change.”

Over the last decade, he has impacted more than one million youth. In addition to performing, he travels the country producing concerts and festivals that entertain, inspire and empower young people and their families to live their best life now. As the founder of SaulPaul’s Music Career Expo, he brings together music industry professionals from various fields to introduce, educate and enlighten students on career opportunities within the music business.

At home, SaulPaul has been recognized throughout Texas as a local legend and force for good. He won the 2017 Austinite of the Year Award at the AU40 awards and was named the Creative Ambassador of Austin. His work with youth and musicians in general are what led to him receiving the Austin Music Award’s AMP Esme Barrera Award for Music Activism & Education. Other awards SaulPaul has received include the University of Texas at Austin Young Alumnus Award and Seedling Foundation’s Fab 5 Award.

In 2020, SaulPaul joined The Texas Commission on the Arts Texas Touring Roster. He currently serves on the board of Austin Music Foundation, Children’s Music Network, and has served as a board member of the Austin Creative Alliance and the Texas Chapter of the Recording Academy.

He is the 2020 recipient of the Beacon of Hope award for the state of Texas and was presented the award by State Rep Carl Sherman & the Real Hope Committee.
